The 12th Brigade, which included Percy’s 48th Battery left Camp Petawawa on August 26th,(2) travelling east on the CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) and the ICR (Intercolonial Railway), according to Raymond Ives.(3) Their destination was Amherst, NS, where they would wait for the rest of the Division, before assembling in Halifax to ship overseas.
